New Room "tile" pattern is chalked for cutting. Cheap Ryobi saw = $30. Diamond blade for concrete = $18. What's wrong with that picture? Actually, I was advised to buy the cheap saw because all the dust would be very hard on the motor.

My resperator is worn tight. It keeps the nasty stuff out.

I'm not sure if the picture adequately conveys the level of dust-saturation we achieved.

oooh, i remember those days. We banged out a LOT of plaster walls when we first moved into our house. We were young and stupid and decided we preferred comfort over the health of our lungs. I figure we have maybe 10 more years till we start to see the results of our stupidity:(

Looking good!! Did you get a baby-sitter while you do your house projects like that or do you just have very well behaved little kids that you don't have to watch really close? I'm just wondering because we are in the process of lots of remodeling projects and it's been really hard with loud saws waking up sleeping kids and I'm not able to help as much as I'd like because I have to watch the kids. Our usual baby-sitter is my mother-in-law but she works nights and sleeps pretty much all day so I try not to ask too much.

All I can say is, we had to make a late evening trip to Menards the other night with all three kids and it was a nightmare! By the time a Menards employee came up and asked if he could help us, I said, "do you have a daycare center here?" I was so frustrated! I was holding a fussing Christian while the girls bounced off the walls and touched everything. Needless to say, I think we need someone to take our kids during these next few big projects or I'll go insane! :)

Sorry for the long, rambling comment.

You look like storm troopers who have lost the greater part of your armor.

I can't wait to see the finished floor!
