You are my hero for running at only two weeks postpartum! How in the world do you do it?! That is awesome though, and I applaud you. It is really hard, though? I always felt like my body had somehow been broken and not quite put together after having a baby and if I tried to do anything more than a fast walk, I felt like my body was going to fall apart even more. I was just sore everywhere, especially in my pelvis. It was weird. So, anyway, that is great that you are able to run now and are already working up to three miles! You inspire me.

My goal for running my first 5K is to do it in less than 35 minutes. I know that is embarrassingly slow but as a brand new runner, that is just the way it is, I suppose. I hope that adrenaline and excitement will kick in and make me much faster but I'm not counting on it. I think my fastest time practicing for it was about 32:30.

I asked a bunch of people about how I could train for this and get faster and they gave me all sorts of ideas but I found that it was stressing me out way too much. So I have just been running as much as I can and trying to shave off seconds when I can. I just am not fast but my endurance has increased dramatically. I'll be super happy if I have a time that is better than my practice times, but if not, I will just be happy I completed the race. :)
